This document is a transcript of a Moscow City Court session from August 12–13, 2002, regarding the case of Anatoly Viktorovich Mylnikov, who was accused of terrorism and involving a minor in criminal activity. Mylnikov argued that the 'threatening appeal' used as evidence against him was actually dictated to him by FSB officers as handwriting samples during his detention in September 1999. Significant to the 1999 apartment bombings narrative, Mylnikov claimed he had foreknowledge of the attacks, asserting he was approached by 'Caucasians' in the summer of 1999 who offered him money to participate in 'fireworks' and bombings. He testified that he reported these threats to MVD Colonel Vladimir Kirienkov and two generals (one FSB, one MVD) around the time of the Manezh Square explosion (August 31, 1999), but was ignored. The court repeatedly denied defense motions to summon Colonel Kirienkov as a witness, ruling his testimony irrelevant to the current charges.
