Mylnikov Letter to Sergei Yushenkov
Letter to S. Yushenkov
To the Deputy of the State Duma of the RF
S. Yushenkov.
103265, Moscow, Okhotny Ryad, 1.
From Mylnikov Sergey Aleksandrovich.
Address: 414052, Astrakhan, Botvina St., 24, apt. 12.
Dear Mr. S. Yushenkov.
I am addressing you as the leader of the "Liberal Russia" movement regarding the following matter:
- B.A. Berezovsky, known to us, is currently in London due to circumstances also known to us. Berezovsky is a Russian, just like all of us. But by the will of Fate and Providence, events occurred to him due to which his fate turned out as it did.
I am addressing you with a request (if only you are in a position to fulfill it) - please tell me at what address a letter could be sent so that it would be received by B.A. Berezovsky (or so that it would be passed on). Can you help with this request, or simply forward this appeal of mine to him?
The purpose of my appeal to him (and in the future, possibly, correspondence with him) is to provide him with moral help and support from his Motherland - Russia. Yes, yes, to provide support. And help. The question may, of course, arise: does he need your help, like... I assert: he does! And very much so. Besides the fact that he is a participant in all sorts of very noisy political, oligarchic, and other affairs, Berezovsky is, first of all, a human being! Just like us. He, like us, is given one life, one Motherland. To us from here, from Russia, it seems that Berezovsky is doing well there, abroad. I assert: poorly. Life outside the Motherland, no matter how good that life may be, is not life. And the accusations that have been piled on him - corruption, threat of arrest, conviction, search - it is not so easy to survive all this. For this, even two lives are probably not enough. And I would like to write him my letter. I understand that formally his place of residence and address cannot be made public. And they shouldn't be. I would simply send a letter to any person in London for delivery to Berezovsky.
About Myself
Briefly about myself: I was born in 1937. A native of Moscow. Born there, lived there, etc. I devoted my entire conscious life to the fight against crime in the system of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD). I was sent to Astrakhan in my time for service. I worked here. I was also sent to Uzbekistan to work on the "cotton cases." You remember there were such. I was in other places too. During my quarter-century of service - I've seen so much... it would probably be enough for two lives as well. But that was a long time ago. Back in the days when the police protected the people and the state from criminals.
Now I am retired. I have three medals "For Irreproachable Service in the MVD of the USSR," a labor book filled with various commendations, a lost Motherland - Moscow, and a beggarly pension, which is taken away by Chubais, the mayor, the "governor," and other state racketeers for various communal "services." Astrakhan is not Russia, not the Motherland. That is why I wanted to address Berezovsky with words of support.
A Question for the Accusers
Berezovsky is accused of "stealing half of Russia." I would like to ask all sorts of "accusers" from the prosecutor's office, from the OBEP (Department for Combating Economic Crimes), from the FSB, and other institutions: - when Berezovsky was "stealing half of Russia" - where were you all at that time??? You - armed to the teeth with the most modern weapons, technology, computers, mobile phones, batons, handcuffs, laws, lawlessness... - where were you? Why didn't you stop this "stealing"? If Berezovsky was "stealing," and you did not take measures to stop the stealing - then you are the same kind of criminals. Your crime has a specific name in the Criminal Code of Russia and it is called: Criminal inactivity, criminal negligence that caused significant harm to the State. And all of you should also be held accountable.
Or maybe everything is different? Berezovsky became undesirable to someone, he is in someone's way, including for political reasons?...
Accusations Against Berezovsky
Inflating all these accusations against Berezovsky, the relevant persons for some reason have completely "forgotten" about others, far more real and concrete facts of the overt looting of Russia. For example, the looting of the Russian GOKHRAN by A. Kozlenok and associates according to the Decree of the Chairman of the Government of Russia A. Chernomyrdin and the Minister of Finance of Russia B. Fedorov. This is when, quite recently, unique jewelry worth as much as 200 million dollars was swiped from GOKHRAN! Is this not looting?! Such facts could go on and on. /If I were Berezovsky's defense attorney, I would demand many be dragged into the courtroom for interrogation!/.
Letter to Mr. S. Yushenkov
Dear Mr. S. Yushenkov. Once again, I am appealing to you with the request set out above. I especially ask you to note that I never use the opportunity given to me for harm or evil.
I will await your reply. Respectfully —
[S. Mylnikov]
I am attaching a document confirming my identity.

Personal Statement
...formally... necessary. I would simply have sent [the] letter to any person... Berezovsky.
Briefly about myself:
* I was born in 1937.

* Over a quarter-century of service—I've seen so much... also, probably enough for two lifetimes. But that was a long time ago. Back in the times when the police protected the people and the state from criminals.
Now I am retired. I have three medals "For Irreproachable Service in the USSR MVD," a labor book filled with various commendations, a lost Motherland—Moscow, and a beggarly pension, which is taken away by Chubais, the mayor, the "governor," and other state racketeers for various communal "services." Berezovsky is accused of "looting half of Russia"! I would like to ask all sorts of "accusers" from the prosecutor's office, from OBEP, from the FSB, and other institutions: when Berezovsky "looted half of Russia"—where were you all at that time??? You—armed to the teeth with the most modern weapons, equipment, computers, mobile phones, batons, handcuffs, laws, lawlessness...—where were you? Why didn't you stop this "looting"? If Berezovsky "looted" and you did not take measures to suppress the looting—then you are the same kind of criminals. Your crime has a specific name in the Criminal Code of Russia and it is called: Criminal Inactivity, Criminal Negligence that caused significant harm to the State. And all of you should also be held accountable.
Or maybe everything is different? Berezovsky became inconvenient to someone, he is in someone's way, including for political reasons?...
