However, there are no grounds for changing this preventive measure in respect of him, as he may abscond from the preliminary investigation and the court, continue to engage in criminal activity, as well as threaten witnesses and victims and otherwise obstruct the proceedings in the criminal case.

On the basis of the foregoing, guided by Art. 109 of the CCP of the RF,

HAS RESOLVED:

• To petition the court, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow (name of the court) for the extension of the period of detention of the accused Dekkushev Adam Osmanovich (surname, first name, patronymic) in custody in criminal case No. 18/230300-02 for 3 months — days, and for a total of 9 months 25 days, i.e., until May 9, 2003, inclusive.
