Examination Findings

In this case, the subject was examined on an outpatient basis. During the examination, methods of clinical-psychopathological research (anamnesis, medical observation, clinical interview, description of the mental state) were used in combination with an analysis of the data on the somatoneurological state. From the materials of the criminal case (No. 18/230300-02 in volume 1), the personal file, medical documentation (from the prisoner's medical record), and from the words of the subject, the following is known.

• According to the subject, his female cousin suffered from a mental disorder (medical documentation was not provided).
• He was born into a large family.
• Early development proceeded without peculiarities; he suffered childhood infectious and cold-related diseases without complications.
• By character, he formed as calm and sociable.
• He was raised at home.
• He began studying at a general education school at the age of 8; he handled the curriculum satisfactorily; according to him, he liked physical education, history, biology, literature, and mathematics.
• In the senior grades, he practiced judo; because of this, he often missed classes at school and in the 9th grade remained for a second year of study.
• He maintained steady relations with peers.
• In childhood, he suffered a head injury (fell from a tree), but did not seek medical help.
• The subject received a 10-grade education, after which he worked as a seasonal worker, a loader at a poultry farm.
• In 1985, he was drafted into the army, served in the group of forces in Czechoslovakia, in a chemical defense platoon of a tank regiment, was a driver, a squad leader.
