Question: Specifically, what did the actions of the police officer consist of in providing assistance in the transport of explosive material to "Realbaza" in the city of Kislovodsk?

Answer: He allowed an emergency vehicle with a cargo for which there were no documents to pass through the GIBDD post at the entrance to Kislovodsk.

Question: Did you arrange in advance with a police officer to ensure the unhindered passage of a vehicle with explosive material through the GIBDD post and escort to "Realbaza" in Kislovodsk; if so, when, where, and under what circumstances?

Answer: As I have already testified above, together with Adam Dekkushev in the latter's "Moskvich-Svyatogor," I arrived at the GIBDD post ahead of Magaev's KAMAZ truck. There, I arranged with one of the police officers standing at the post for him to let the emergency vehicle with the cargo through the post. I want to note that at that time I was well acquainted with practically all the GAI officers of Kislovodsk, and therefore the officer standing at the post was also known to me, but I do not remember exactly who it was at the moment. He agreed, and then Dekkushev and I went back a bit along the road and I got into Magaev's vehicle. When the latter's KAMAZ approached the post, the GIBDD officer saw me in the cabin and let the vehicle through. I do not remember if he escorted our vehicle to "Realbaza," but it is possible that happened.

Question: Why was it necessary for you to arrange the passage of the KAMAZ through the post in advance if, according to your words, you had many acquaintances in the Kislovodsk GAI and you could have resolved the issue of passage on the spot by arriving together with Magaev?

Answer: I did this so as not to fall under the operation of the Pyatigorsk GIBDD division. I have no acquaintances in that unit, and they work throughout the entire territory of Kavminvody and are known for their tough attitude. So, being acquainted with the Kislovodsk "GAI-men" would hardly have helped in an encounter with officers of the Pyatigorsk division.
