On July 8, 1999, due to the severity of the charges brought against Zander N.V., the court issued a ruling changing her preventive measure from recognizance not to leave to detention, and she was taken into custody in the courtroom. By a ruling of the Moscow City Court dated August 31, 1999, the defendant's appeal was denied, and the court's ruling remained unchanged.
