• Skoybeda U.B., a correspondent for the newspaper "Komsomolskaya Pravda", who testified about repeated appeals by Mylnikov A.V. to the editorial office of the named mass media outlet with proposals to publish materials of a criminal nature, to introduce her to counterfeiters and dealers in "red mercury", as well as to speak out in defense of allegedly illegally arrested people, and the refusals given to him, since, in her opinion, these publications were intended to influence law enforcement agencies in their decision-making and contribute to the release of detainees; [and about] his statement to the editorial office that the explosion on Manezhnaya Square on August 31, 1999, was committed in connection with the illegal, in his opinion, detention of his acquaintance Zander N., and that certain "friends" of the latter were allegedly involved in this, who demanded from him by phone to take measures for her release. Assessing this appeal by Mylnikov A.V. as an attempt to use the tragedy that occurred on Manezhnaya Square to release his acquaintance, she refused to print material in defense of Zander N., also believing that unknown persons, instead of transmitting threats through Mylnikov A.V., could have expressed them directly to representatives of the authorities.
