• Terrorist act of September 16, 1999 in Volgodonsk - an explosion in the courtyard of house No. 35 on Oktyabrskoye Shosse, as a result of which 19 people died and over 1000 people received bodily injuries of varying degrees of severity, damage was caused to the state and citizens.

• Proceedings on September 09, 2002 from criminal case No. 103, initiated on September 13 and 16, 1999 on the facts of explosions in residential buildings in Moscow and Volgodonsk, Rostov region.

• On November 19, 1999, a resolution was issued against Adam Dekkushev to bring him as an accused under Part 3 of Art. 205, Part 3 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

• On November 19, 1999, the deputy head of the 3rd department of the Investigation Department of the FSB of the Russian Federation, Rozanova A.A., issued a resolution on the selection of a preventive measure in the form of detention against Adam Dekkushev.
• On July 14, 2002, Adam Dekkushev was detained by law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Georgia on the territory of this state and handed over to the Russian Federation. On the same day, he was charged and a preventive measure in the form of detention was selected.
• On September 13, 2002, the Lefortovo District Court of Moscow extended the period of detention of the accused Adam Dekkushev to 3 months and 26 days, that is, until November 09, 2002.
• On November 04, 2002, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow extended the period of detention of the accused Adam Dekkushev to 6 months and 26 days, that is, until February 09, 2003.
• On January 14, 2003, the criminal cases against Adam Dekkushev and Yusuf Krymshamkhalov were joined into one proceeding and accepted for production by the senior investigator for particularly important cases of the Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, Senior Counselor of Justice Zipunnikov I.I.
• On January 22, 2003, the terms of the preliminary investigation in the criminal case against Adam Dekkushev were extended by the First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation to 44 months, that is, until May 09, 2003.

In the petition, the investigator indicates that there are no grounds for changing the preventive measure for the accused Adam Dekkushev due to the fact that it is necessary to:
* Complete the outpatient psychiatric forensic examination scheduled for January 20, 2003 in relation to the accused Yusuf Krymshamkhalov.
* Conduct interrogations of the accused Adam Dekkushev and Yusuf Krymshamkhalov to clarify their testimony given during the investigation.
* Conduct (if necessary) a confrontation between them.
* Complete the familiarization of the accused Adam Dekkushev and Yusuf Krymshamkhalov with the conclusions of the forensic examinations conducted in the criminal case (for Adam Dekkushev - about 50 examinations, for Yusuf Krymshamkhalov - about 1200 examinations).
* Complete the interrogations and recognition of about 150 persons who suffered from the terrorist act of September 8, 1999 in house No. 19 on Guryanova St. in Moscow as victims or civil plaintiffs in the case.
* Conduct a number of other investigative actions to consolidate the evidence collected in the criminal case, after which Adam Dekkushev and Yusuf Krymshamkhalov will need to be presented with new charges in full.

Upon completion of the planned investigative actions, it will be necessary to familiarize the victims and civil plaintiffs (over 1500 people), as well as the accused Adam Dekkushev and Yusuf Krymshamkhalov and their defense lawyers with the materials of the criminal case in accordance with Articles 216 and 217 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, after which an indictment will be drawn up. To perform all necessary investigative actions in the criminal case, at least 3 months will be required, and the period of detention of the accused Adam Dekkushev expires on February 09, 2003.
