Court Ruling

The court, having heard the participants in the proceedings and examined the materials presented, considers that the aforementioned petition to extend the period of detention of the accused Adam Dekkushev to 3 months and 26 days, that is, until November 9, 2002, should be granted. The resolution to initiate the petition was drawn up in compliance with the requirements of the norms of the criminal procedure law, with the consent of the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, within the time limits established by law; there are no grounds for changing the measure of restraint, the measure of restraint was chosen in accordance with the gravity of the charge.

Based on the foregoing and guided by Art. 109 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, -

ruled:

To extend the period of detention of the accused Adam Osmanovich Dekkushev, born February 3, 1962, a native of Karachayevsk, KChAO [Karachay-Cherkess Autonomous Oblast], Stavropol Krai, to 3 months and 26 days, that is, until November 9, 2002, inclusive.

This ruling may be appealed to the Moscow City Court within 10 days from the date of its issuance.
