Incident Details

• An improvised explosive device was detonated using an electronic timer.
• The device was located in the van of a "GAZ-53" vehicle, state registration plate Ts 37-81 RP.
• The vehicle was parked near entrance No. 4 of building No. 35 on Oktyabrskoye Shosse.

Casualties

The following persons died as a result of the explosion, which caused damage from building structures, broken glass, fire, smoke, shock and sound waves, secondary projectiles (furniture from the apartments), and other traumatic factors:

• Fetisova Marina Anatolyevna (born 1975): Died from an explosive injury accompanied by a closed blunt trauma to the chest and abdomen, involving multiple ruptures of the liver and spleen, hemorrhages into the lung tissue and the suspensory apparatus of internal organs, multiple abrasions and bruised wounds on the head, torso, and limbs, leading to massive blood loss and traumatic shock.
• Mordovtsev Sergey Nikolaevich (born 1976): Died from an explosive injury due to massive blood loss resulting from a lacerated wound of the neck with damage to the right carotid artery.
• Skrylev Stanislav Nikolaevich (born 1969): Died from an explosive injury accompanied by the destruction of skull bones and damage to brain tissue, injuries to the right hand, complicated by edema of the brain and lungs.
• Travkin Viktor Nikolaevich (born 1954): Died from an explosive injury due to numerous skeletal fractures, gross destruction of the brain, and multiple internal organ injuries, including:
  • Massive hemorrhages into the soft tissues of the cranial vault in the frontal, parietal, and temporal regions.
  • A multi-fragmented fracture of the bones of the vault and base of the skull with damage to the frontal, parietal, temporal, ethmoid, and sphenoid bones.
  • Multiple injuries to the dura mater and pia mater by bone fragments in the frontal and parietal lobes.
  • Multiple foci of destruction of brain matter in the frontal, temporal, and parietal lobes.
  • Closed fractures of the 5th-9th ribs on the right between the midclavicular and anterior axillary lines.
  • Rupture of the right ventricle of the heart.
  • Multiple ruptures of the capsule and tissue of the right lobe of the liver.
  • Multiple ruptures of the capsule and tissue of the spleen.
