...неоднократно обращал внимание на то, что его дело — провокация спецслужб, прямо стремящихся заставить его замолчать и тем самым, скрыть факты коррупции руководства ФСБ и его причастности [прямую причастность или преступную халатность — решать справедливому суду и самому обществу] к фактам безнаказанности террористов, странным обстоятельствам терактов в 1994-99 годах, трагедии «Норд-Оста».

После незаконного задержания в октябре 2003 года (Трепашкин - адвокат и не мог быть задержан и обыскан без санкции суда), Михаил Иванович был демонстративно подвергнут пыткам и истязаниям. Есть серьезные основания считать, что ему подбросили оружие и бросили в тюрьму, чтобы исключить его участие в судебном процессе.

«А если Путин останется еще на 4 года Президентом России и будет дальше заниматься «безопасностью» государства и граждан вместе с Патрушевым и его командой, то правду мы не узнаем никогда. А, скорее всего, будут созданы такие условия, что нам уже будет не до взрывов1999 года, так как будут организованы новые и новые акции, чтобы в их массовости все растворилось и потерялось, ибо станет невозможным все контролировать».

I. 24 декабря 2003 года в московскую приемную Движения «За права человека» пришло письмо от Михаила Трепашкина, эксперта Общественной комиссии по расследованию взрывов жилых домов в городах Волгодонске и Москве и обстоятельствам, связанным с проведением «учений» в Рязани в сентябре 1999 года.

Allegations of Persecution and Corruption

• Repeatedly drew attention to the fact that his case is a provocation by the special services, directly seeking to silence him and thereby hide facts of corruption of the FSB leadership and its involvement (direct involvement or criminal negligence — to be decided by a fair court and society itself) in the facts of impunity for terrorists, the strange circumstances of the terrorist attacks in 1994-99, and the "Nord-Ost" tragedy.
• After the illegal detention in October 2003 (Trepashkin is a lawyer and could not be detained and searched without a court warrant), Mikhail Ivanovich was demonstratively subjected to torture and abuse.
• There are serious grounds to believe that weapons were planted on him and he was thrown into prison to exclude his participation in the trial.

Quote from February Appeal

"And if Putin remains President of Russia for another 4 years and continues to deal with the 'security' of the state and citizens together with Patrushev and his team, then we will never know the truth. And, most likely, such conditions will be created that we will no longer care about the 1999 bombings, as more and more new actions will be organized so that everything dissolves and gets lost in their mass scale, for it will become impossible to control everything."
