Дело Михаила Ивановича Трепашкина

Он хотел остановить преступников в погонах, находящихся у власти, — они хотят посадить его.
Сегодня, 15 декабря, здесь, в Московском окружном военном суде, пытаются расправиться (как обычно в России — прикрываясь видимостью закона) с офицером, отказавшимся стать преступником. С адвокатом, который до конца отстаивал права своих подзащитных. С человеком, который до конца выполнял свой гражданский долг.
Руководители ФСБ не простили Трепашкину того, что он отказался вместе с ними стать преступником. ФСБ не простила ему, что он пытался защищать права людей, прямо или косвенно пострадавших от ее действий. Руководство ФСБ не простило ему, что он — честный человек и просто гражданин России, не побоявшийся высказывать свою точку зрения по поводу работы ФСБ и правовой ситуации в стране.

With a lawyer who defended the rights of his clients to the end. With a man who fulfilled his civic duty to the end.

The leaders of the FSB did not forgive Trepashkin for refusing to become a criminal along with them. The FSB did not forgive him for trying to protect the rights of people directly or indirectly affected by its actions. The FSB leadership did not forgive him for being an honest man and simply a citizen of Russia, who was not afraid to express his point of view regarding the work of the FSB and the legal situation in the country.
