- Emphasises Putin's unpopularity & public deep opposition to new war in Chechnya - Insiders said Putin could never win unless something big happens - When explosions started they wondered if this was the something. But said to themselves that given the FSB capacity for error, if it is the FSB then soon enough they'll mess something up - When Ryazan happened they said "aye-aye". - Who benefited from the bomings? Putin, enormously. Chechens, huge catastrophe for them. - FSB involvement not a conspiracy theory because a conspiracy theory is an alternative to the generally accepted version, e.g. Mossad did 9/11. But in this case there is no accepted version - no meaningful prosecutions, no evidence, no Chechens.
