Taking into account that a significant volume of investigative actions and operational-search measures remains to be performed in the case, and it is not possible to complete the preliminary investigation by the deadline established by law, i.e., by June 16, 2000, guided by the requirements of Articles 92, 97, and 133 of the Code of Criminal Procedure,

HAS RESOLVED:

• To initiate a petition before the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation to extend the period of the preliminary investigation in criminal case No. 173 to fifteen months, i.e., until December 16, 2000.
