on initiating a petition to extend the term of the preliminary investigation

Investigator for particularly important cases of the Investigative Department of the FSB of Russia, Senior Lieutenant of Justice Ignatyev V. A., having reviewed the materials of criminal case No. 103 on charges against Gochiyayev A. Sh. and others,

HAS ESTABLISHED:

• This criminal case was initiated based on the facts of the explosions on September 8 and 13, 1999, in the city of Moscow of two residential buildings, No. 19 on Guryanova St. and No. 6 bldg. 3 on Kashirskoye Highway, as a result of which 228 people died, and moral and physical harm was caused to 502 victims.
• In the course of the investigation, sufficient evidence has been collected that these acts of terrorism were committed by an organized criminal.

Extension of Preliminary Investigation Term

The term of the preliminary investigation in criminal case No. 103 is extended to 26 months, i.e., until November 9, 2001.
