Chechen businessman, got v rich in the 1990s starting Russian Lotto. Then in 2003 & 2004 ran for President of Chechnya but was banned on technicalities each time. Very tenuously rumoured to have assisted the FSB with the Dubrovka/Nord Ost operation as a provocateur, in return for help with the Chechen presidency.
