MVD (interior minister) special forces officer, very active in Chechnya and wider Caucasus. Accused of being a member of a "werewolf" gang of spetsnaz gangsters linked to the failed assassination of Max Lazovsky - killing his driver instead. Became confidant and lover of playwright Natalia Pelevina who used his info in her play about Nord-Ost, which in turn links to Chechen guerrilla or double agent Terkibayev.
